Job Overview:

As the Account Director (AD) at TAG, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the strategic management and growth of key client accounts within the Print and Visibility (POSM) production space. You will drive account development, ensure the seamless delivery of projects, and maintain high standards of client satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with the creative, production, and dedicated client service team to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions for POSM production that meet clients marketing objectives.

The AD is the day-to-day lead, client partner and internal captain, leading a complex, omnichannel, global production delivery system. Equal parts relationship builder, operational expert and production maven, The AD will be accountable for delivering strategic and operational partnership to clients, vendors, and business value for Tag.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management & Leadership:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing day-to-day communication and long-term strategic relationships.

Drive strategic conversations with clients to align creative ideas with business objectives, delivering value beyond execution.

  • Lead client presentations, ensuring alignment with their objectives, and present creative and production solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with senior stakeholders across clients, ensuring continuous growth and client satisfaction.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to drive innovation for the client.

Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve client goals, focusing on innovative POSM production solutions and cost efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their marketing objectives, translating these into effective briefs for internal creative and production teams.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to expand service offerings and increase account revenue through upselling and cross-selling.

Project Oversight:

  • Manage budget allocations, timelines, and resource planning for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Manage internal teams (creative, production, and outsourcing) to ensure seamless project execution, adhering to deadlines and brand guidelines.
  • Address any issues or challenges in production, escalating where necessary and ensuring solutions are found in a timely manner.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to account managers and other internal team members, fostering an environment of collaboration and creativity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers and Executives, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance against targets, providing support to help them exceed client expectations.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage account budgets, ensuring profitability while delivering value to the client.
  • Monitor project P&L, controlling costs and maximizing margins on all creative and production projects.
  • Provide regular financial updates and forecasts to senior management.

New Business Development:

  • Help to develop new business relationships to grow the business and develop our offering with new potential clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with the business development team to pitch for new business and grow the agency's client portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of account management experience, preferably in a creative agency or POSM production environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-value clients and delivering complex, multi-channel projects.
  • Strong understanding of the creative production process, specifically related to POSM and retail marketing.
  • Exceptional client management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve their best work.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage challenging situations with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Client satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Account growth and revenue generation.
  • Successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery of POSM production projects.
  • Profitability of managed accounts.
  • Team performance and development.
