AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Would you like to implement your Think Big ideas in order to assist customers in transforming their businesses Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider

As an AWS Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving service adoption, usage growth and market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess both account management and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage and accounts plan, and consistently deliver on quarterly business goals.

  • Drive service usage growth and market share in the cross industries territory.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly business goals.
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption.
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
  • Manage and support customer interactions
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of high tech sales and business development in solutions, cloud or SaaS markets and selling to C-level executives experience.
  • Direct field & account management, sales experience working with enterprise accounts
  • Would have consistently exceeded key performance metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences and strong technical competencies in the areas of cloud computing, SOA, web services and enterprise software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing strategic accounts and working with multiple business units and technology teams
  • Experience in driving the adoption of new technologies and solutions preferred
  • A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service would be preferred but not required
  • An MBA or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing or related field
