Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our global finance team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of our Vietnam entity, including the month-end close process, ensuring compliance with statutory tax regulations, and completing audits. Additionally, you will contribute to global accounting tasks, offering a broader scope of responsibility. This hands-on role offers significant growth opportunities as Skedulo continues to expand.
Responsibilities
Tax & Compliance - Vietnam
- Prepare monthly VAT returns
- Prepare monthly FCT reports
- Issue VAT output invoices in e-invoice system
- Prepare CIT calculation at year end
- Ensure the timely completion of statutory audits
Month end close
- Enter recurring monthly journal entries
- Prepare full balance sheet reconciliation for Vietnam entity
Data entry and reconciliations
- Import bank transactions into Oracle Netsuite for Vietnam entity
- Complete weekly bank reconciliations for Vietnam, Australia and the United States
Accounts Payable
- Enter invoices into Oracle Netsuite for all entities
- Follow up on invoice approvals with department managers
- Verify overdue or credit balances and liaise with vendors to resolve
Expense Reimbursement
- Review and code employee expense reimbursements
- Ensure the company's expense policies are being adhered to
- Verify supporting documentation against local country requirements, following up on any missing or incomplete information
Other
- Prepare monthly operating budget for Vietnam entity
- Identifies opportunities for system efficiencies and implements process improvements
- Assist with physical fixed asset counts
- Assist with adhoc projects as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor degree in accounting
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- 3+ years experience in similar role
- Strong knowledge of Vietnam Accounting Standards
- A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work
Desired Skills/Experience
- Experience using Oracle Netsuite
- Experience working in multinational companies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to identify deficiencies and implement process improvements
