Accounts Receivable Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Receipts Management: Process daily cash receipts from the bank, offsetting them against customer invoices.
• Debt Collection: Proactively contact customers to remind them of outstanding payments, assisting the sales team in the collection of overdue accounts.
• Sales Order Processing: Manage the system to unblock sales orders when necessary.
• Customer Account Monitoring: Provide the sales team with up-to-date customer sales history and outstanding debt information.
• Weekly Reporting: Prepare and distribute weekly debt reports to relevant departments.
• VAT Invoice Management: Update VAT invoice numbers in the JDE accounting system accurately.
• Cash Flow Support: Report collected amounts to assist in weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile outstanding debts and assist in monthly accounting book closures.
• Debt Collection Letters: Draft and issue debt collection letters and send automated balance confirmations to customers.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Create additional reports as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in debt collection or accounts receivable.
• Integrity: High ethical standards and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle customer interactions effectively.
• Task Management: Ability to manage daily responsibilities consistently and report progress to the line manager.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Teamwork: Collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal skills to support cross-departmental coordination.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
