Assistant Production Manager

Location: Linh Trung Export Processing Zone, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City

Job Summary: The Assistant Production Manager will support overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and effectively. This individual will assist in managing the production team, coordinating with department heads, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a young, energetic professional with a background in mechanical engineering and a passion for career growth in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Supervision Support:

• Monitor and assist in managing daily production activities to ensure targets are met.
• Support and supervise production team leaders, ensuring optimal performance and coordination.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement improvements in production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Work with team leaders to develop best practices and standard operating procedures.

Team Management:

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Mentor and train team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.
• Manage performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Coordination and Communication:

• Collaborate with the planning department to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable.
• Facilitate effective communication between production teams and other departments.
• Address and resolve any issues that may arise in the production process.

Quality and Safety:

• Ensure all production activities comply with company quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of production activities and performance metrics.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on production status, challenges, and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production management within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and mechanical systems.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior management and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a heavy industry or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
