InAps's Customer is a company dedicated to helping people with cognitive impairments, such as dementia, live more independently. Our social care robot, Tessa, provides verbal guidance to increase daily structure and self-reliance for users. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for the 50 million people suffering from dementia worldwide by enabling them to regain control over their lives. We are expanding our product team and seeking a talented Backend Developer to help us build meaningful functionalities that support healthcare organizations, professionals, and individuals with cognitive impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend the functionality of the backend systems
- Solve bugs and issues within the existing codebase
- Develop technical designs based on business needs and implement those designs
- Extend databases and optimize the performance of existing systems
- Keep current services up to date with the latest development technologies
- Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices
- Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment processes
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of working experience in a related field
- Proficient in programming languages such as TypeScript and Java
- Experience with libraries and frameworks like Node.js, Express, Mocha, Chai, MySQL, Awilix, Dropwizard, Spring, Guice, jDBI, and JUnit
- Strong understanding of relational database design and tools like MySQL, Flyway
- Familiarity with JSON/REST API design, security practices (OWASP), CI/CD principles, Concourse
- Experience with Linux distributions (Debian, RedHat, and BusyBox-based distros), Docker
- Knowledge of the 12-factor app methodology
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
