Job Summary :Operates, maintains and monitors all operating plant equipment to maximize energy output Balance of plant including water and wastewater treatment plants, chemical dosing system, handling chemical, operating laboratory equipment as water, oil,coal analysis, water environmental discharge monitoring , electro chlorination system, auxiliary boiler. Responsible for directing and coordinating the safe, reliable, efficient and economical local operation of the balance of plant equipment.The incumbent will be responsible for directing and coordinating the safe, reliable, efficient and economical local operation of the balance of plant equipment.
Accountabilities :
- Responsible for the operation of balance of plant equipment during start-up, shutdown, emergency and normal condition as operate water and waste water treatment system, RO &Demin water system, Handing chemical, water -coal- oil analysis laboratory, chemical dosing system, ion exchange regeneration system, cooling water chemistry , hypochlorination system ,circulating water pump ,fire water pump system , hydrogen generation system ....
- Coordinates with other department regarding local operation of BOP equipment and with maintenance department regarding corrective and preventive maintenance of BOP equipment Evaluates, analyzes, recommend operational data for efficient, economical and reliable operation of BOP equipment.
- Makes corrective measures on any abnormalities during operation. Performs proper isolation and tagging to allow safe working condition during the repair, maintenance and testing works and activities of plant equipment, components and devices
- Conducts field inspection during normal operation to correct any abnormalities and observes proper shift turn-over.. Knows and complies with corporate rules, maintains good housekeeping and participates in assigned training programs Strictly complies with corporate governance and principles, such as but not limited to Housekeeping, Safety, Environmental, and Code of Conduct and Discipline.
- Operating schedule requires working rotating shifts and maybe called upon to perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time. Assists in training operations team members.
- Employee's expectations and results will be measured on the ability to achieve goals, initiatives, and expectations as set forth and agreed upon between the employee and their supervisor. Ensures that tasks are carried out in accordance to set environmental, health and safety standards and procedures. Complies with company directives and adheres to AES core values. Ensures adherence to company rules and regulations and actively participate in company sponsored programs.
Job Specifications / Competencies
- Graduate of any vocational course Technology preferred
- Possess a positive attitude with a strong advocacy of safe work practices and procedures.
- Experience related to water and chemistry in power plant preferred
- Must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong belief in AES values and Principles.
- Capable of functioning and contributing as a plant and area team member
- Basic computer proficiency.
