We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Director to oversee our laboratory operations, at multiple geographical locations.

The Laboratory Director's responsibilities include planning and implementing laboratory operations and processes, ensuring accurate and timely testing, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements in the central lab as well as the secondary labs.

Our ideal candidate has a solid background in medical science, a comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures, and the ability to manage teams and implement strategic plans to scale up operations phase by phase.

The Laboratory Director should ensure the smoothand efficient operation of laboratory services while maintaining highaccuracy and reliability.

Qualifications:

1.Medical Doctor degree preferred

2.Doctorate in Bioscience, Medical Diagnostics or Medical Laboratory preferred

3.10+ years of experience in setting up, operating, andoptimizing large medical labs or chains of labs

4.Experience managing medium to large teams (10-50) of lab technicians and doctors in medical and healthcare settings

5.Strong commercial understanding of lab and lab operations

6.Preferred strong understanding of China and / or Southeast Asian medical labs and healthcare market

7.Experience working with medical doctors in theclinical, hospital, and independent lab settings

8.Strong attention to details

10.Strong focus on Process, Procedure, and Standards

11.Fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and willing to learn or operate in Vietnamese language environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and coordinate laboratory activities in our Central labs as well as the other secondary labs feeding it in a hub and spoke model to ensure accuracy of results and efficiency in laboratory operations.
• Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures for the whole organization.
• Ensure the laboratory complies with all local, DOH, and safety regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of laboratory staff.
• Monitor and evaluate new and existing laboratory procedures for effectiveness and efficiency byapplying thelatest Quality Control techniques including Six Sigma.
• Ensure accurate and timely testing of specimens.
• Manage laboratory budget and resources with effective inventory management.
• Manage the purchase, verification, use, and maintenance of lab equipment
• Collaborate with other medical staff to improve patient care. Communicating laboratory results and findings to relevant parties
• Represent the laboratory in interactions with other departments and external parties.
• Conduct research and attend scientific meetings to stay updated with advancements in the field of lab medicine. Collaborating with other professionals to develop new testing methods and procedures
• Provide support to doctors and other medical professionals from the Clinical and Hospital regarding the accuracy and quality of results
• Develop and optimize team structure in Central Lab, and embedded labs
• Manage medium to large teams of lab technicians in multidisciplinary settings
• Research and develop new products and services in collaboration with the commercial team and Medical Advisory Board
• Participate in the Medical Advisory Board
