Job Description
The three main areas of responsibilities and duties as a corporate finance associate at Buymed will be investor relations, strategic transactions, and fundraising. Overall, think holistically of your functional contribution to the company in terms of maximizing value through prudent financing and investment decisions.
- Investor Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors and shareholders of the company.
- Be intimately familiar with our cap-table and manage investor expectations.
- Investor relations in a private company is about managing communication and relationships with investors including but not exclusively venture capitalists, private equity funds, family offices, individual investors and more.
- Periodical financial reporting and performance updates and submissions (monthly, quarterly, and annual) as well as ad-hoc data requests
2. Strategic Transactions
- As a fast-growing start-up, the company is presented with and actively seeks/pursues numerous opportunities to grow, which includes both organic and inorganic opportunities. To help the company be effective in these endeavors, the corporate finance associate will be expected to:
- Researching and analyzing financial statements and company due diligence
- Assisting with development and maintenance of financial and valuation modelsCompiling and maintaining virtual data rooms
- Proactively suggests improvements to our processes in strategic transactions and M&A efforts.
3. Fundrasing:
- Assisting with the company's fundraising effort which includes responsibilities such as preparing pitch decks, managing our cap-table, handling investor information requests and FAQs.
- Help drive up the company valuation.
- You will be joining a team responsible for raising funds for the company to achieve its short- and long-term goals and you will be exposed to live deal experience from end to end
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics with a minimum GPA equivalent of 3.5 or more
- At least 4-5 years of experience in financial services or consulting preferably.
- Transactional experience Minimum at least one fully executed and closed transaction (M&A, Private Equity or similar)
- Strong writing skills and verbal skills in both English and Vietnamese. Ability to confidently liaison with investors and strategic partners
- Familiarity with different valuation methods such as DCF, M&A, LBO, etc.
- An interest and curiosity about the healthcare industry
- Progress towards professional designations in finance/financial accounting/valuation is preferable
