Position Context:
The Corrosion and Environmental Testing Engineer will be responsible of the management of all validation activities related corrosion and environmental attributes, executing the activities that can take place InHouse and tracking of the testing activities taking place in external testing suppliers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead all activities related to the testing and validation execution, including subjective and objective evaluation, to allow the DVP assessment completion of the Corrosion and Environmental Attributes.
- Vehicle preparation. Ensure with the respective functional partners (MMLs, Attribute, TnV) that the vehicle is having the required SW and HW status for representative testing results.
- In House test execution in all the cases where it is possible, ensuring that the correct testing protocol is applied for the particular testing purpose, in proper form and time.
- Process and analysis of data out of the testing, elaborating the test report, including main conclusions and recommendations.
- Track the testing execution of all activities related to Vehicle Dynamics that are carried out by external testing suppliers.
- Manage JIRA system, to capture any issue detected during the testing. Work together with the respective areas to address properly the technical solution of the issues.
Position Requirements:
Education/ Professional knowledge:
Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience (5+ years) with solid knowledge in Electric vehicles and automotive industry.
Skill, Experience:
- Solid background in vehicle architecture, with focus on interior, exterior, BiW, chassis and powertrain systems.
- Experienced in DVP and overall validation strategies for environmental and corrosion. Good knowledge of testing standards for these domains.
- Knowledge of RRR and other environmental regulations of the different regions
- Technically sound about vehicle teardown and failure analysis after durability/corrosion/environmental tests.
- Experience working with external global testing suppliers
Other requirements:
- Domain of engineering fundamentals of Vehicle systems (EVs)
- Skilled for Problem solving, analytical thinking and presenting result-oriented behavior
- Attention to detail and able to manage more than one task at a time.
- Assertive and presenting very good analytical skills.
- Discretion in dealing with confidential/sensitive information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
