This role reports directly to the Regional CEO.
Role Summary:
The Country General Manager will be responsible for overseeing and growing the company's operations in Vietnam. This includes end-to-end management of commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and strategic business management. The role demands a highly strategic and driven leader who can align local operations with the company's global vision while adapting to the unique market dynamics in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive growth, market share, and profitability in Vietnam.
- Sales & Marketing Oversight: Lead and support the sales and marketing teams to ensure impactful market penetration and brand recognition.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and efficiency targets.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key regulatory authorities.
- Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture, empowering and developing the local team to achieve outstanding results.
- Compliance: Ensure all business practices comply with local regulatory standards and align with company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in commercial roles (sales, marketing, general management) within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Vietnam Market Knowledge: Must be a Vietnamese national or have at least 7 years of experience working in Vietnam, with a deep understanding of the local business landscape and regulatory environment.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive performance in a cross-cultural, multinational setting.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to craft strategies that drive sustainable growth.
