The Country Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of the company. This role involves leading local operations-including brand sales and marketing, OEM sales, and factory operations) managing key relationships, and ensuring alignment with global corporate strategies. The Country Manager will be accountable for achieving business and financial targets, expanding market presence, ensuring operational excellence, building and developing talent within the organization, including management of external affairs and ensuring company's compliance to required regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities;
- Contributes to the development of the overall strategy by providing valuable business insights from the country. Using his/her market knowledge and expertise to help enriching the formulation and implementation of the Company strategies
- Drive and implement transformative strategies to enhance the company's competitive position and performance
- Leads the team in developing a clear growth strategy for the country by understanding market needs, anticipating trends, identifying the unique and complex challenges and opportunities in the market
- Ensures that the country strategy is aligned with the long-term Group strategic direction and is supported by clear initiatives at the country level with a robust implementation plan
- Leads the development of long-term and annual business plans, and ensures alignment with sales and profit targets
- Sets annual goals and key performance indicators in alignment supported by a clear set of actions and KPIs to drive achievement
- Identifies resource requirements including strategic investments needed to support profitable growth plans.
- Ensures alignment of priorities and integration of key activities or projects amongst the different departments within the country
- Conducts regular business performance review; leads the team in identifying, managing risks / opportunities and in developing course corrective actions to minimize or eliminate unfavorable impact to business results
- Reviews and approves annual country budget; ensures efficient utilization of budget
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, driving growth through innovative approaches and strategic transformation, including creation of 3-5 years innovation pipeline, and where possible driving synergies with Innovation platform
- Enhance brand presence and market share by adapting strategies to meet evolving customer needs and industry trends
- Sets the tone from the top by role-modeling the mission, values and principles and communicating the right messages to the organization supported by consistent actions and behaviors
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and aligning talent management with the company's strategic objectives
- Strengthens the organization by identifying opportunities for improving capabilities to meet the current and emerging/future business needs. Ensures a robust succession plan in leadership positions and critical positions for business continuity.
- Manages the country's overall performance; holds direct reports accountable for the achievement of their individual and functional team's targets; ensures that the individuals and team's successes are recognized, rewarded and celebrated
- Promotes a work environment that is open, empowering, inclusive and inspiring and supports the company's aspiration to become a high-performing organization
- Identifies and manages various stakeholders by understanding and addressing their needs/issues/concerns; ensures that he/she is able to support the communication of right information to stakeholders
- Proactively identifies and anticipates risks (internal and external) that may have potential adverse impact on the business and works collaboratively with multi-function teams to develop and implement a risk mitigation plan.
- Ensure all operations adhere to local regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Represents the country in external relations with customers, local government agencies, industry, public and others
Key Qualifications;
- Minimum Bachelor Degree, while having a Master Degree will be an advantage.
- Experience for minimum 5 years in a similar-sized business in the country with P&L responsibility
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the industry and or related field, preferably with experience in managing operations across operations and commercial functions
- Strong Commercial experiences including data driven for sales and marketing
- Excellent financial acumen, experience in managing budgets and improving financial performance of a company
- Experience in stakeholder management, and building strategic external partnerships
- Some knowledge of local regulations and industry standards with commitment for compliance and risk management
- Strong vision, strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Financial acumen
- Ability to lead and develop teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate, instill trust, and manage a diverse team
- Cross cultural communication and integration. Ability to work effectively across different cultural contexts and ideally having experience in bridging gaps between local and international operations

- Ability to drive innovation within the company and manage change effectively
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese communication
