We are seeking an experienced DevOps/Apache Superset Engineer to set up and configure a comprehensive test environment for application testing on our server farm. This role involves installing and configuring an on-premise instance of Apache Superset, using MySQL as the database backend. A key aspect of this role is implementing SSO integration with our centralized authentication system to ensure secure, streamlined access.

Responsibilities
1.Environment Setup and Configuration:
- Install and configure Apache Superset on our server farm in an on-premise setup.
- Set up MySQL as the backend database for Superset to ensure compatibility with the existing data infrastructure.
- Ensure proper configuration and optimal performance of Superset for efficient data visualization and exploration.
2.SSO Integration:
- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with our centralized authentication system, ensuring secure and easy access for authorized users.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges.
- Test SSO functionality to confirm successful integration with Superset.
3.Testing and Optimization:
- Develop test cases and scripts to validate the functionality of Apache Superset in the test environment.
- Identify, document, and address any configuration or performance issues during testing.
- Optimize the Superset test environment setup to support smooth operation and ease of access for testing teams.
4.Documentation and Support:
- Document all configuration steps, integration details, and testing procedures for future reference.
- Provide support to the testing team for using and navigating the Superset test environment.
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy protocols within the testing framework.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in installing and configuring Apache Superset, especially in an on-premise environment.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and experience with database configuration for application testing.
- Hands-on experience with SSO implementation and integration with centralized authentication systems.
- Background in application testing, environment setup, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to provide clear guidance and support to testing teams.
- Familiarity with security best practices and data privacy compliance for application environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with server farm infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of security protocols for authentication and data access.
