About the Job
The Parity DevOps team is part of the Parity Infrastructure & Data department, made of more than 20 people. We are remote-first, but can also work from offices in Berlin, Lisbon, and London
Responsibilities
- As the DevOps/SRE Team Lead, you will lead a team of 5 DevOps/SRE engineers responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support the development of Parity's Polkadot SDK. Within the Product Engineering department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. Your leadership and expertise will play a crucial role in advancing automation, enhancing efficiency, and optimising the performance of our entire technology stack.
- Lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
- Define and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous delivery and cloud operations
- Provide strategic direction and contribute to the overall technology roadmap
- Drive the adoption of DevOps culture, practices, and tools across the organisation
- Collaborate with software development teams to streamline the build, deployment, and release processes
- Establish and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system reliability and availability
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and productivity
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise projects, and communicate progress
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, etc.
- Experience leveraging Infrastructure as Code (eg. Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps (eg. ArgoCD, FluxCD) tooling.
- Expertise in Linux-based systems
- Proven experience managing infrastructure teams, and overseeing large scalable, resilient and observable systems
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
