We are seeking a highly motivated Data Product Owner with expertise in banking and real estate to drive data-centric solutions and products across our organization. As a Data Product Owner, you will bridge the gap between business needs and data-driven decision-making, focusing on maximizing the value of data products to support strategic initiatives in both banking and real estate domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data solutions that enhance business performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision & Strategy:
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products, with a focus on leveraging data assets to support business objectives in banking and real estate.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, identify opportunities, and prioritize the development of data products that deliver measurable impact.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Work closely with business teams in banking and real estate to identify high-value use cases and ensure the effective use of data products in decision-making processes.
- Champion the use of data analytics to optimize customer experience, product performance, and operational efficiency in both sectors.
- Backlog Management:
- Translate business needs into detailed data product requirements, epics, and user stories.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure the successful execution of the product vision.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the data platform team, ensuring that data products meet quality, timeliness, and usability requirements.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of data products in both banking and real estate domains.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure the continuous improvement of data products and adjust strategies as needed based on feedback and performance.
- Compliance & Data Governance:
- Ensure that data products comply with industry regulations, data privacy laws, and internal governance standards, particularly in the banking and real estate sectors.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to manage data-related risks effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner role with a focus on data products, preferably within banking and real estate industries.
- Strong experience in agile product management practices, including backlog management and prioritization.
- Domain Expertise:
- Solid understanding of the banking and real estate sectors, including key business processes, regulatory requirements, and industry challenges.
- Familiarity with data products supporting use cases such as customer segmentation, risk modeling, portfolio management, property valuation, and market analytics.
- Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of data platforms, analytics tools (such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI), and big data technologies.
- Ability to work with complex data sets, define product requirements for data pipelines, and deliver insights to business stakeholders.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools.
- Experience in managing large datasets and creating products that leverage AI and machine learning.
