Finance and Accounting Manager
Based in Hano/Ho Chi Minh
Reports To: General Manager Chief Financial Officer (CFO) PCUSA
Purpose: Manages all finance and accounting operations of Paula's Choice Vietnam. Responsible for the safeguarding of company assets by designing, enforcing, and monitoring internal controls around financial procedures and reporting.Prepares and provides information to external auditors and third-party users, as needed. Works with General Manager to prepare and manage yearly budget. Complies with all Labor Law initiatives to ensure the company is compliant with all Human Resource laws.
Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
- As member of the Management Committee, you help shape and drive Paula's Choice's growth agenda for Vietnam
- Full end-to-end finance responsibility with an in-house team: financial control, accounting, budgeting & forecasting, CAPEX management, risk management, audit, tax planning (including topics such as permanent establishments in Europe and international VAT)
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Coordinate and prepare the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts, including analysis of variances
- Preparing and publishing timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Oversee financial reporting and year-end audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Vietnam Laws
- Review monthly/quarterly close of financial statements and provide recommendations/highlights to General Manager Vietnam and CFO Paula's Choice Global
- Manage cash position and related cash forecasting
- Lead the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts for the company, in close collaboration with the Senior Business Controller, budget owners, and the Finance team of Paula's Choice Global;
- Drive revenue and profitability improvements, in close collaboration with various stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Manage all legal affairs within Europe, with support of our local legal counsellor, and in close collaboration with our Unilever Prestige counterpart
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices
- Complies with national and local tax and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing appropriate financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to management
- Makes recommendations to General Manager on cost saving measures regarding company expenses and categorization of budgeted expenses.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a similar position with a multi-national business
- Strong analytical, organisational skills and strong business and financial acumen
- Expert with financial reporting software, including Microsoft Excel
- Flexible, customer-focused, accurate, result-oriented and can work well under pressure;
- Proactive approach to problem solving and work in general
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- 5+ years working as a Finance Manager or Controller
- Fluent in English
