Your role as a freelance front-end developer will contribute from development to website and eCommerce store launches for fast-growing brands, with a specific focus on Next.js engineering. You will collaborate with designers, developers, stakeholders, and other team members to create engaging brand experiences through digital products. Participating in daily scrums and sprint planning, as well as exploring new technologies to enhance digital products.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design
- Strong proficiency in implementing design systems
- Good understanding of Javascript ES6, TypeScript, and Testing
- Experience with Next.js / React, Node.js, and a passion for JAM stack
- Experience with Figma, and ability to anticipate design mockup problems.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and SEO best practices
- GraphQL & REST API concepts and implementation patterns
- Any headless CMS or Shopify integration
- Proficiency with version control using Git or similar systems
Bonus points for
- Experience in UX/UI design
- Atomic design methodology
- Knowledge of animation libraries and techniques (ex: GSAP, Framer, CSS)
- WebGL, and Canvas
