The General Manager is responsible for the overall steering of the organization in Vietnam market. Drive achievement of business result and organization KPIs. Lead the end-to-end responsibility, covering P&L management, Business Development, Revenue Management, Market Access, Customer Management, New Product Launches, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Excellence, and overall capability building.
Responsibilities
P&L Management
- Develop and lead the execution of Vietnam business strategy to deliver growth year-on-year and to build and maintain the business
- Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
- Oversee all financial commitments, revenue and operating profit
Commercial Leadership
- Provide strategic business direction and oversight to the direct reports/ Head of Departments
- Guide the commercial team towards market Leadership
- Define channel strategies, develop customer/account segmentation and targeting
- Prioritize investments in line with category and portfolio footprint
- Determine headcount allocation across channels
- Review sales forecast and business objectives and provide valuable insights to all stakeholders
- Lead the Commercial Excellence function in developing and implementing tools
Market Access
- Successful penetration of new products
- Successful penetration of existing products to new channels
- New business engagements
Regulatory Affairs
- Responsible for giving strategic direction to the Regulatory Affairs Lead and team
- Ensure the organization has the permits, licenses, certificates, authorizations, and other approvals it needs to conduct its current and future business activities; and produce, and sell its products
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with Government agencies and other regulatory authorities; represent the organization in matters before regulatory, legislative, or industry standards agencies so that the organization's interests are advanced
People Management
- Lead and inspire team members to meet and exceed goals / achieving the defined objectives
- Decide on resource allocation and set the annual headcount budget
- Maintain and improve employee satisfaction through training, development, career path development, fair and equitable remuneration structures, etc.
- Systematically and continuously upgrade the capabilities of team members through training, coaching and other means
- Promote and ensure team adhere to company's core values when carrying out day-to-day responsibilities and interactions
Compliance
- Champion compliance in the organization by building a fully compliant team
- Work with Compliance Lead to establish compliance SOPs and controls to ensure compliance to Pharma industry regulations and corporate compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor and ideally Master degree in a related discipline: Healthcare, Pharmaceutical or Business
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior commercial leadership role in the Healthcare industry
- General manager or regional commercial or finance lead role managing P&L
- Experienced people leader
- Multi markets experience is an advantage.
