Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development:Lead the creation and continuous innovation of our brunch and bakery menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern culinary trends while respecting traditional techniques.
- Kitchen Management:Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet our high standards. Manage food ordering, inventory, and kitchen budget, optimizing costs without compromising on quality.SOKO requires our Head Chef to take care of both of our Brunch and Bakery kitchens.
- Team Leadership:Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and inspiring work environment. Schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Quality Control:Implement and maintain high standards for food preparation, presentation, and kitchen hygiene, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Customer Experience:Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience, responding to guest feedback and making adjustments as necessary.
- Innovation and Growth:Stay abreast of industry trends and participate in local food events to promote the restaurant. Collaborate with management on strategies for business growth and community engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume, reputable restaurant or bakery.
- A strong portfolio of creative and innovative menu development, particularly in brunch cuisine and bakery products.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to train, inspire, and manage a diverse culinary team.
- A deep understanding of food cost management, inventory control, and kitchen operations.
- Passionate about food quality, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A commitment to upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
