Our Client is an MNC Apparel/Footwear brand, with long standing history and significant ambitions to scale their presence across Asia.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Product Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive product strategy for both apparel and footwear, ensuring alignment with brand goals, customer needs, and market trends. Define long-term product roadmaps and seasonal line plans.
- Product Design & Development Oversight: Collaborate with design and product development teams to create innovative, consumer-relevant products. Ensure that all products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives while upholding brand standards.
- Market & Trend Analysis: Leverage market insights and consumer data to anticipate trends and identify new growth opportunities. Conduct regular competitor analysis to ensure the brand remains competitive in both apparel and footwear categories.
- Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets, pricing strategies, and margin goals for the apparel and footwear divisions. Track and analyze sales performance to optimize product assortments and achieve profitability targets.
- Sustainability Leadership: Champion sustainable design and manufacturing practices, ensuring that both divisions prioritize eco-friendly materials, ethical sourcing, and responsible production methods.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams across design, development, sourcing, and production. Foster a collaborative, innovative work culture and support team growth through coaching and mentorship.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches, drive brand consistency, and enhance customer experience across all channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in apparel or footwear product management, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Deep knowledge of the apparel and footwear product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, pricing, and profitability.
- Ability to translate consumer insights into compelling, innovative products that drive brand growth.
- Passion for sustainability and experience implementing sustainable practices in product design and manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
