We at
NKG Vietnam work closely with the local people in the coffee producing areas and buy the green coffee materials directly from the farmers, producers, collectors and suppliers. In our factory we can process more than 35 different exportable qualities. We are able to cater for special client wishes. This includes creating qualities according to specific client requirements: a selected screen size with a chosen percentage of black and broken beans, foreign matters, Excelsa beans and a special percentage of moisture can be delivered without problem. Our main focus is to satisfy our clients with upgraded and special qualities.
For our group company, NKG Vietnam, we are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer. The position will be based in Long Thanh, Dong Nai.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure accountability, transparency, cross-functionally and effective communication within the management team while ensuring that information is timely, clear and accurate.
- Investigate and prepare required reports of HSE system performance including but not limited to investigation reports, injury reports, insurance claims, performance metric reports, etc.
- Take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents.
- Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.
- Conduct, coordinate and track various training to support company programs.
- Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, quality procedures and practices.
- Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, storm water and surface water discharge.
- Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the company.
- Alerts management when problems are identified and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare HSE Risk assessment to identify potential hazards and action to be taken.
- Manage equipment/ machines with strict requirements on safety/ hygiene (for example: forklift, compressed air tank)
- Follow up on firefighting plan, training, drill and documents. Maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Training safety for third party/ new employees.
- Must be a team player committed to developing and working in a quality environment.
- Other duties and participation in special projects as required or assigned by the manager.
Your profile
- English and Vietnamese languages in both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Social Science related field.
- Relevant certification or degree in Health and Safety or related field.
- Occupational Health and NEBOSH certification.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety procedures.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
