Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Planning:
    • Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that support the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives and promote a high-performance culture.
    • Anticipate and address future HR needs and trends to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management:
    • Lead the recruitment and selection process to attract qualified candidates and ensure a diverse talent pool.
    • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new employees into the organization.
    • Oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and professional development plans.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations initiatives, conflict resolution, and communication strategies.
    • Implement programs to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable laws.
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration:
    • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity within the organization.
    • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of compensation and benefits practices to remain competitive in the market.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • HR Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks and ensure a safe and inclusive work environment.
    • Partner with legal counsel as needed to address complex employment law matters and mitigate legal risks.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on HR metrics, trends, and accomplishments.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of HR processes and practices.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (>10 years) in a senior HR leadership role and passionate about ESG or sustainability.
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
