Job Responsibilities
- Manage finished goods delivery by planning, implementing, monitoring, and coordinating with the customer service department and other functions to ensure that delivery is on time as per the agreed schedule and satisfies customer expectations at the lowest cost.
- Overall control import and export procedures by monitoring forwarding to ensure that imported goods or exported goods arrive or are delivered on time as per the agreed schedule at the lowest cost.
- Contact forwarders to resolve import/export problems (if any).
- Check and confirm debit notes from forwarders monthly.
- Follow up on FG stock status and packing schedules to plan for shipment accordingly.
- Follow up on the production schedule and expedite production to ensure delivery of goods on time. Develop procedures for the import-export department.
- Work and negotiate with forwarders to get the best rates for sea and air import/export shipments.
- Work and negotiate with insurance agents to get the best insurance rates for import/export shipments.
- Contact the BWH controller to request samples from BWH as requested by management.
- Plan and control import & export costs.
- Follow up on the stock status of raw materials and provide solutions to clear stock on time.
- Send monthly reports on materials and extra costs to management.
- Review and sign all relevant documents for certificates of origin (C/O) and custom clearance purposes such as sales contracts, commercial invoices, packing lists and B/L.
- Review and sign all documents to confirm the origin of wood and wood products, such as sales contracts, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in import/export operations, including at least 03 years in the leadership role, preferably within the furniture industry.
- Proven experience managing relationships with freight forwarders, insurance agents, and other logistics providers.
- Knowledge of relevant import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Strong understanding of international commercial terms.
- Proficiency in ERP system.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
