KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage F5 BIG IP operations and maintenance, including WAF and load balancing.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of network devices.
- Track incidents and changes to provide professional resolutions and meet SLA requirements according to IT policy.
- Assume technical ownership of networking projects and core business systems to ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and contingency plans, including disaster recovery, communication, escalation, and emergency operations plans.
- Maintain documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify and resolve network issues to enhance overall performance and reliability.
- Build and utilize automation tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, Python) to improve productivity, workflow, and technology deployment.
- Drive continuous network performance improvements to support various business services.
- Participate in provincial business trips to implement new or replacement projects and troubleshoot problems.
- Engage in the team's on-call rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or relevant disciplines.
- Certifications: CCNA, BIG-IP Administrator, CCNP DC/CCSA preferred.
- Experience working on Enterprise Networking (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, QoS, monitoring, etc.).
- Experience with BigIP F5 WAF-ASM and load balancing (LTM).
- Experience in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Python for network on-premise and cloud environments.
- Understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN/VxLAN, MPLS, IPsec/Macsec, BGP, HSRP, VRFs, OSPF, etc.).
- Ability to communicate in English.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of network management and analytical tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and flow logs.
- Experience with Azure Cloud networking, particularly in establishing private channels between cloud and on-premise.
- Understanding of virtualization architecture, information security, and ITIL principles.
- Experience with F5, Cisco, and HP devices.
