The
Junior QA Engineer will take full responsibility for testing and validating the Performance Management System MVP. In this role, you'll design test cases, execute testing, report findings, and ensure that all features meet quality standards. This position offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in testing processes and contribute directly to project success.
Key Responsibilities
Test Case Development:
- Design and document comprehensive test cases and scenarios for each module of the MVP, including KPI assignment, performance review workflows, and bonus calculations.
- Ensure test cases cover functional, UI, and integration requirements.
Manual Testing:
- Perform manual testing of web applications, focusing on functionality, usability, and responsiveness.
- Test across various devices and browsers to ensure a consistent user experience.
Bug Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and report bugs or inconsistencies, providing detailed descriptions and steps for reproduction.
- Track issues and collaborate with the development team to resolve them before release.
Regression Testing:
- Conduct regression testing to confirm that recent changes or bug fixes have not adversely impacted existing functionalities.
- Ensure test cases are regularly updated and executed as part of the regression suite.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with frontend and backend teams to understand the project requirements, user stories, and system functionalities.
- Coordinate with the project manager to report testing status, risks, and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and testing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a commitment to quality.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to team goals.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting findings.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for backend testing and data validation.
- Exposure to test automation tools or scripts (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) as a growth area.
