Job Summary:
As a Legal Associate, you will be responsible for working directly with Senior Legal Counsel to ensure that all legal matters are handled in a professional and efficient manner. During the process, you will be required to build relationships, collaborate, and provide legal support to internal teams as well as manage external legal counsel. The Legal Associate will handle a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting due diligence and ensuring secure storage of legal documents. This is a diverse role requiring discipline, proactiveness and having sense of urgency, as well as the initiative and flexibility to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, manage, and execute various legal documents to protect and preserve the Company's full legal rights, including but not limited to NDA, PPA, RLA, EPC, O&M, ATA, Disclosure Letter, MOU.
Assist and conduct legal due diligence on prospective clients and projects for various needs and come up with legal due diligence report or legal assessment statement with recommendation facilitate decision making process.
Provide clear and business-driven legal advisory on all legal aspects of the company operations.
Advise resolutions of disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Maintain business license issues and registration upon assignment.
Provide legal counsel and support to the internal departments in day-to-day operations.
Support the company in its dealings with the authorities in terms of business registration and other company articles when required.
Liaise with external legal counsel regarding matters related to the business of the company including ongoing litigation cases.
Ensure secure registration and storage of the Company's legal documents.
Conduct legal research and maintain current knowledge of applicable legislations to the Company.
Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility and in the spirit of the Company's Framework.
Support any related jobs assigned by line manager.
Qualification and requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in law
Experience: 3+ years experience in a similar position
Certifications/Licenses: Graduation Certificate from Lawyer training from Judicial Academy is an advantage.
Good command of English and MS Office
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Result-oriented and well-organized
Possessing strong sense of deadline
Self-motivated and striving for the better
