Legal Associate

An exciting opportunity exists for a transactional lawyer (banking and finance, energy, infrastructure) lawyer, qualified in Vietnam. The successful candidate will support our team on advising international and local clients. The candidate is required to have transactional experience with a law firm. We are seeking a candidate with 3 to 5 years experience working with cross-border agreements (loan agreements, security, share purchase and shareholders agreements and similar)

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare draft documents and legal advice under supervision of the senior members of the team
• Draft/ review transaction documents (loans, M&A)
• Support team business development work, by providing support in producing drafts of marketing materials, proposals, legal updates, articles and presentations.
• Assist team in development of know how documents and standard forms.

Preferred skills:

• Lawyer fully qualified in Vietnam, with minimum 3 years of professional experience, fluent in English
• Preferable to have prior work experience in an advisory firm on cross-border transactions
• Experience of liaison with government authorities on preparing and submitting applications, obtaining feedback and similar matters.
• Good knowledge of Vietnam laws in the following areas: corporate, foreign investments, cross-border loans and security, land and energy sector regulations.
