Legal Manager

The Head of Legal will be responsible for overseeing all legal affairs related to the securities industry, providing strategic legal guidance to the management team, and ensuring that the company's operations align with applicable laws and regulations. This role will not involve compliance responsibilities but will focus on legal strategy, contract management, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on a range of matters affecting the company's operations, including securities law, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.

Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the

company's interests, ensuring they are legally sound and aligned with business objectives.

Litigation Oversight: Manage litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel when necessary, and developing strategies for dispute resolution.

Risk Assessment: Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and provide

proactive solutions to mitigate those risks.

Policy Development: Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to enhance

operational efficiency and legal compliance.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Finance, HR) to ensure that legal

considerations are integrated into business processes.

Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting the securities industry.

Training and Development: Provide training to staff on relevant legal issues and ensure that the legal team is well-informed about industry developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in law; a specialization in Finance is an advantage.

Experience: At least 8-10 years in securities industry, with a strong understanding of relevant laws

and regulations. Minimum 3 years in senior legal leadership role.
