SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced MYP general teacher (Design/I&S/English Lang and Lit), to commence in September2024. Candidates should already have a minimum of at least three years of teaching the MYP/DP. Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are an expectation as we move forward with developing our CCA program.
Candidates should be aware that SNA-HCMC is a member of CIS, is fully accredited by WASC, and therefore places safe-guarding and child protection at the forefront of recruitment. To this end, SNA-HCMC abides by the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child.
Minimum qualifications:
BSc or BA mandatory
Secondary license or certification for teaching, e.g. PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi or similar, mandatory.
Master's degree in Education, preferred.

Participate in collaborative grade level/cross-curricular/cross programme meetings to develop the written and
taught curriculum.

Willingness to offer co-curricular activities.
Communicate and liaise on a regular basis with fellow grade members with regards to planning, assessment,
parent and community contact, subject organization and classroom issues such including behaviour
management, expectations and routines.
Communicate and liaise with other school colleagues in an effort to promote social and emotional awareness.
Take an active role in behavioral management and pastoral care of homeroom and other class groups.
Attend and constructively contribute to staff meetings.
Assist in supervision of student breaks when required.
Coordinate class activities as deemed necessary.
Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, conferences, and communication
with parents via ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
Establish links with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well informed about student learning.
For example, encourage parents to come to Parents as Learner (PAL) meetings, Student Lead Conferences (SLCs,) MYP exhibition, join the PTA etc.
Assist, as required, in the development of social and emotional curricular materials.
Act as a resource/contact/support for new staff members (i.e. curriculum, schedules, procedures).
Participate in and assist with school events as required and to complete any additional task(s) given by the
Grade Level Leader and/or the MYPC
