Main Responsibilities
Created in 2017, AKROCEAN is a French service company (with an office in Ho Chi Minh City) that deploys and operates autonomous and self-power platforms (buoys). These modular platforms accommodate a wide range of environmental observation instruments to provide its customers with offshore data collected in situ. These data are mainly intended to know precisely the conditions (energy assessment, environmental impact,..) on a specified offshore zone for industrial purposes (development and financing of offshore wind projects or other renewable energy projects).
AKROCEAN is recruiting a Project Manager to be based in their office in Ho Chi Minh City for its activities in Asia-Pacific. Under the responsibility of AKROCEAN's Director of Operations, the Project Manager will ensure:
IN THE PRE-SALES PHASE: Contractual review and identification of risks (contractual, legal, commercial, financial, etc) in coordination with the commercial and legal departments.
IN THE INITIALIZATION PHASE:
- Referencing contractual documents
- Coordination of all parties involved to meet buoy deployment deadline (technical aspects, marine operations, logistics, operational teams...)
- Organization and animation of the internal and external (customer) kick-off meeting
- Monitoring of contracts with key partners
- Establishment of the project schedule
- Definition of specific project QHSE documentation (internal and client)
- Management of logistics flows (equipment export, customs procedures, etc)
IN THE PROJECT PHASE:
- Follow-up the planning and analysis of drifts
- Monitoring of cost incurred vs budget and analysis of deviations
- Periodic reporting to the client
- Incident management/ customer complaints/ deviations/ disputes
- Project documentary follow-up
- Sourcing & local contracting of logistics providers (work base, ships)
- Drafting of deployment methodologies and risk analyses (in coordination with key partners)
- The preparation and management of permitting in conjunction with the customer and/or the competent local authorities
- Recognition of progress keys and triggering of contractual payment
AT THE END OF THE PROJECT
- Receipt of the certificate of completion of service from customers before demobilization of equipment
- Delivery of end-of-project documentation
- Assessment of the project costs, QHSE (indicators), and RETEX to the teams
Requirements
- Master's degree with a technical focus, ideally supplemented with project management.
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B experience in an offshore environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
- Inclined to travel in the countries where buoys are deployed, in order to take part to operations (deployment and/or maintenance)
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) are a plus.
- Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and skilled at managing multiple tasks while working collaboratively.
