Packaging Engineer

Location: Bac Ninh

Reports to: Local (Engineering) Manager

Job Summary

The engineer or designer is responsible to design packaging solutions in line with the customers needs. They work in line with local needs and the company Engineering Directive.

Job Description

Design packaging solutions while utilizing the company products and/or sourced materials

Assist with providing packaging technical expertise

Assess structural requirements, method of transport, long term storage and other specifications

Support other departments

Assist with packaging evaluations and designs of other engineers or designers

Assist with the gathering of sufficient information to enable drawings

Create CAD drawings, assembly instructions and material lists

Assist Sr. Engineers perform special engineering project assignments

Assist in understanding material specifications and possible replacement materials as needed

Support in creating artwork for our products

Required working experience

1 year experience working with CAD programs, either in school or at work

Experience designing with steel, wood, corrugate, foam and/or other traded materials is considered an asset

Required qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering equivalent in experience and education or

Master degree in Industrial design equivalent in experience and education or

CAD designer or drafter with significant experience

Project Management Certification considered an asset

Required Languages

Fluent in English

Required knowledge and skills

CAD experience (Ironcad, Solidworks, Solid Edge or NX/Unigraphics)
