Our client is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join their internal team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the companyu0027s patent portfolio related to our cutting-edge semiconductor switch and packaging technologies.

Responsibilities n
n
- Conduct patent searches and analyses to evaluate patentability and identify potential infringement risks
n
- Draft high-quality patent applications covering our innovative semiconductor switch designs, packaging solutions, and manufacturing processes
n
- Coordinate with outside counsel to prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and for foreign filings
n
- Provide guidance to engineering teams on patentability, patent strategy, and design-around options
n
- Monitor competitorsu0027 patent activities and provide guidance on potential infringement and invalidity issues
n
- Develop and implement strategies to build a strong, defensible patent portfolio aligned with the companyu0027s business goals
n
- Collaborate with the Ru0026amp;D team to harvest invention records
n
- Assist in patent licensing negotiations, acquisitions, and support litigation efforts when necessary
n
- Stay up-to-date with changes in patent law and industry trends related to semiconductor and packaging technologies

Qualifications n
n
- J.D. and MS / PhD in a Technical Field
n
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in patent field, preferably with a focus on semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, or related technologies
n
- Strong technical background in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
n
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders
n
- Proficiency in patent search tools and databases
n
- Familiarity with patent litigation procedures is a plus

Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 base salary + equity
