Responsibilities
- Planning
- Lead the S&OP cycle including data collection, running pre-S&OP and monthly S&OP meetings.
- Continually review the S&OP process to ensure it continues to be up-to-date with current best practice and suitable for business needs.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Production and Purchasing to establish production schedules to meet customer needs while ensuring that raw materials are available to support production.
- Analyze current inventory levels and identifying trends to determine when additional inventory should be ordered.
- Develop planning tools and framework to determine material requirement and material stock projection.
- Seek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks.
2. Purchasing:
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in related field.
- 5+ years of experience in materials planning, purchasing, supply chain or a related position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Office software and material management systems (Odoo, MRP, SAP etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English is a must.
