JOB SUMMARY (OPTIONAL)
This incumbent is responsible for the research, development, and integration of new plating technology in our production. It requires a strong understanding of the gold plating process, to provide solutions and troubleshooting of the plating quality issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thoroughly understand the chemical processes involved in plating.
- Coordinate personnel and processes for quality control, overseeing laboratory activities and plating processes for metals such as gold and nickel to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Effectively manage chemical compositions and inform management of any performance issues.
- Diagnose plating problems, and document and implement chemical, engineering, and physical methods to optimize the plating process.
- Develop and apply test procedures to ensure meeting product quality and expectation
- Take responsibility for process documentation and present findings to senior management.
- Investigate product quality issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with the production team to resolve them promptly.
- Provide technical understanding to allow smooth project transfer to process engineering and manufacturing.
- Maintain regular communication between management and production regarding issues or concerns.ord, PowerPoint, etc.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Science related subject.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plating, with extensive knowledge of the challenges in gold plating.
- Strong understanding of plating processes.
- Able to work under pressure and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage the execution of processes, projects, and tactics.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in English,
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Vietnamese is an added advantage (Applicable to foreign countries candidates)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL):
Must be willing to work in a chemical environment.
Tasks involve standing or walking for long periods, especially in lab or production settings.
Good vision is critical for inspecting work for plating compliance.
