Principal/Senior Data Governance Specialist

Purpose of the position

. Participate in the implementation, collection and management of technical data description information for the bank's IT systems

. Directly participate in the organization and implementation of projects and initiatives to build systems and tools to meet the general exploitation requirements of the bank

Job description

• Participate in the implementation, collection and management of data description information for IT systems and projects with IT elements.
• Coordinate with internal units of the Center to select important terms and data elements from existing data description information.
• Support the operation and management of centralized data description information management tools and profile management tools. preliminary data analysis and data management support tools under the management of the center.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of use, receive and process or coordinate with relevant departments to handle requests from business units, internal units and partners
• Conduct research/construction/recovery of Data Model and Data dictionary documents from current operating systems (systems without initial design documents), thereby supporting the research, preservation and sharing of data in the organization.
• Directly participate in research, feasibility assessment and propose projects (sub-projects) to build systems and tools related to initiatives to improve productivity and work efficiency in common business areas (or across many business areas) in the Bank.
• Participate in planning and organizing the implementation of projects and sub-projects as personnel directly involved in implementation, investment Coordinate with relevant business units to develop appropriate project products in accordance with the proposed framework and implementation criteria of the approved initiative.
• Participate in measuring and communicating changes in regulations and policies as well as implementing systems and tools in practice.

• Requirements

• Understand the architecture, advantages/disadvantages of DWH models. Experience in data modeling (both dimensional modeling and ER modeling techniques) and proficiency in using data modeling tools is required.
• Good understanding and practical experience with DBMS: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server...
• Experience in using and implementing ETL tools: Data Stage, Pentaho...
• Understanding of business process modeling activities and the ability to use support tools to build business flow models and data flow models.
• Experience in using programming languages (Python, R, Java...) for data processing and analysis is an advantage.
• Practical experience in performing Database Reverse Engineering for operational systems is an advantage.
• Understanding of technologies, architectures, application capabilities and experience interacting with Big Data system (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL) is an advantage.
