Position Overview:
The Product and Sustainability Coordinator, in collaboration with the Head of Product Development Vietnam will help re-built the company's sustainability goals and vision, whilst maintaining, researching and developing tour products/tariff in order to over exceed our esteemed guest's expectations.
Responsibilities:
Sustainability
In collaboration with the Head of Product Development Vietnam and the CPO (Chief Purpose Officer), build and maintain purpose lead Sustainability projects in Vietnam.
Raise awareness and communicate on sustainability issues relating to our destinations within Vietnam, to our current and potential suppliers (waste management, water treatment, energy reduction policy etc.) through the EXO responsible travel policy
Support as needed the selection of suppliers based on EXO's sustainability standards
Be responsible to tag tours and hotels according to travel for good criteria and BCorp requirements
Assist Head of Product Development Vietnam to promote sustainable tours and suppliers to EXO teams (starting with TOP agents, main brochures and tariffs)
Monitor our compliance with Bcorp requirements and assist in any necessary report related to sustainability to ensure the yearly renewal of our certification
Coordinate our EXO Vietnam sustainability committee
Identify projects in line with EXOsustainability values to support and to possibly engage as team building activities as well
Regularly keep all employees informed on progress made in any sustainability related project
Integrate policies and actions with staff, suppliers and customers achieving sustainability objectives often requires partnerships that involve understanding, collaboration and action by all three groups.
Be responsible for carbon footprints calculation of EXO VN products
Communication: Suppliers, Guides, Marketing and Sales
Be a Knowledge bank and the go-to person for ideas and expertise in the field of Sustainability and product
Work closely with and provide support to both the Product, the Inbound teams, Sales Team and Head Office for any sustainability project's, tours and experiences
Inform and sensitise internally and externally on how to improve tours positive impacts in destinations.
Assess suppliers level of sustainability report to the EF, integrate in Tourplan.
Consult with suppliers on sustainability issues.
Elaborate internal and external sensitization and communication materials to foster responsible tourism practices among its clients (B2B).
Disseminate responsible product information internally among travel consultants, sales agents and marketing.
Coordinate and / or deliver internal and external (suppliers/guides) training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Sustainability or other related
2-3 years experience in tour product, sales and/or marketing or a similar role
Specialization in sustainability and/or relevant private sector work experience
Excellent command of English (other foreign language is a plus)
Excellent communication skills
Team player with a positive and dynamic personality
Interest and/or experience in the travel industry
Understanding of sustainability and responsible tourism
Skills:
A love and passion for sustainability including knowledge of both TravelLife and BCorp (advantage)
Good / excellent product knowledge of the destination
Comprehensive travel industry knowledge
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organization skills
Ability to take decisions and solve problems on your own
Strong team work & voluntarily help your departmental co-workers
Good computer literacy (TourPlan (advantage), Google WorkSpace, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Be able to suggest improved ways of working to positively impact people's life and the environment.
