Job Description
Lead and manage the entire product development process, ensuring products move smoothly from concept to completion.
Facilitate and lead product review meetings at each development stage, providing clear direction and feedback.
Oversee category forecasts and ensure production aligns with projected sales.
Manage garment lead times, optimizing production efficiency.
Effectively allocate manpower resources within the development department.
Implement coaching and development programs to cultivate a skilled team.
Required qualifications
University degree in Textile Technology or a related field.
Required working experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Apparel Product Development across various product types, with a proven track record in leading and managing teams within an apparel factory environment.
Demonstrated expertise in sportswear development, fit, and construction, with a commitment to upholding brand and quality standards.
Experience in managing material purchasing processes and creating inventory analysis reports.
Required languages
Fluency in Chinese and English.
Required knowledge and skills
Strong understanding of technical aspects including maker efficiency, pattern design, garment construction, and nesting techniques for engineered materials and graphics.
Working knowledge of 3D digital sampling software (V-Stitcher and/or CLO).
Basic understanding of quality control for textile fabrics and accessories.
In-depth knowledge of product costing concepts (FOB, cost matrix), costing margin analysis, and material consumption calculations.
Familiarity with Garment Size Development (GSD) or Standard Allowance Minute (SAM) concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) with basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator.
Familiarity with data analysis tools like Tableau or Power BI (a plus)
