Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules for injection molding processes to optimize workflow and on-time delivery.
Manage production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities, with a focus on injection molding operations.
Oversee inventory control, ensuring adequate raw materials and supplies are available to meet production demands.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures specific to the injection molding process, focusing on material usage, cycle times, and machine optimization.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure product quality meets specifications for injection molded parts.
Generate production reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Manage and troubleshoot production issues, proactively resolving problems and minimizing downtime.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for injection molding, including new technologies and advancements in machine operation and process control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, specifically focused on injection molding operations.
Proven track record of successfully managing production schedules, budgets, and teams within an injection molding environment.
Strong understanding of injection molding principles, including machine setup, process parameters, troubleshooting techniques, and quality control procedures.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies applied to injection molding.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluent English communication in both verbal and written.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production planning software (e.g., SAP, ERP).
