About this role:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting Production Manager to manage whole line of the Highlands Coffee Roastery processing plant in the working shift: Cleaning, Roasting, Flavoring and Packing to achieve all performance measures such as Quality, Safety, Productivity, Production volume, down time, etc.
This person will manage the roasting production team to ensure the production of high-quality roasted coffee, maintaining production schedules, and implementing safety and quality control procedures ensure all tasks necessary to ensure order deadlines and implement safety guidelines for the coffee department are met.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Production Planning
- Assist Production Manager to develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and inventory requirements.
- Work closely with the planning team to develop a consolidated forecast, demand plan and production schedules.
- Monitor production output and adjust schedules as needed to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Production Operations ManagementOversee the entire production process during the assigned shift, ensuring efficient and effective operations across all stages, including Cleaning, Roasting, Flavoring, and Packing.
- Supervise all activities at the workplace, report deficiencies, resolve any operational issues, and ensure adherence to established profiles and quality standards.
- Coordinate and direct the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and goals.
- Ensure that green and roasted coffee are correctly rotated and routed through the team efficiently.
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and timely production.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
2. Safety & Quality Assurance
- Ensure consistent execution and compliance through operational standards for safety, quality and productivity.
- Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all regulatory, SQF, FISMA, FDA, OSHA requirements, ensuring employees proper hygiene, wearing gloves when contacting product or product surfaces, and preventing cross contamination.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, CIP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Training & Documentation Lead and manage the production team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of roasting documentation.
- Verify that all entries to logs, forms, or checklists are completed as required, such as: Production sheets, Receiving logs, Inspection logs, Changeover records, Count sheets, Hold & Release forms, additional records as required.
- Propose SOP's and prepare training materials relevant to job functions of team.
- Support to maintain and update all manufacturing licenses and certifications.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, Food Science, or Chemical Engineering, etc.
- 02+ years of experience in a similar production supervisor role in the Food and Beverage industry. Fresh candidates with significant potential may also be considered.
- Experience with Probat Roaster or Ilapack packing machine is a high plus.
- Experience with ISO 14001 (Environmental), OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety), ISO 22000 (HACCP), GMP, ERP, SAP, and HACCP systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced in using SCADA and HMI systems.
- A passion for coffee and ability to lead is a must.

- Working location: Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Provide shuttle bus from Ho Chi Minh City)
