Overview
The main objective of a project assistant manager involves planning, executing, and overseeing projects to meet specific objectives of project: time, cost, and scope. Take responsibility to define project goals, create detailed plans, and allocate resources efficiently. Managing risks, identifying potential issues, and developing mitigation strategies. Project assistant manager ensure clear and ongoing communication with stakeholders to maintain alignment. Monitoring progress, controlling project deviations, and ensuring quality deliverables are also key responsibilities to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required standards
Responsibilities
- Technical Design and Implementation: Develop and execute detailed technical plans and designs based on project requirements, ensuring they align with BU, Engineering standards and specifications.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with support functions, BU, contractors, and related function in plant to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and running smoothly.
- Resource and Schedule Management: Oversee the allocation and use of materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource utilization.
- Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all engineering work complies with applicable regulations, AIB, EHS requirement, engineering standards, while meeting the project's quality expectations.
- Problem Solving and Technical Support: Address technical issues or challenges that arise during the project, providing engineering solutions to keep the project on track.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of designs, specifications, progress reports, and any changes, ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accessible for stakeholders.
- Cost and Budget Management: monitoring project costs and ensuring that the engineering aspects of the project are completed within budget.
- Safety and Quality compliance: Monitoring safety and quality requirement during project implementation, specific on installation & commissioning ensuring that zero accident, no quality issue relate to project activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related engineering fields. Mechatronic.
- At least 3 years of experiences at relevant role or 5 years of experiences in Engineering/ Project field
- Good computer literature in Microsoft office, Auto Cad.
- Strong leadership skill including, motivation, conflict resolution, effective coaching facility, presentation, team building and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, performance management , decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skill
- Excellent understanding of Project management methodology. Greenfield project experience, PMI certificate is advantage.
- Maintenance background. TPM experience is advantage.
- Capex management with basic finance knowledge
- Fluently in English communication (writing, reading and speaking)
- Knowledgeable GMP, FSC2200, AIB, FM Global, OHSAS, Machine safety, Food facilities design, SAP and lean manufacturing program.
