SO, WHAT'S THE STORY

Our Global Supply Chain organization is fundamental to enabling the growth of our Dr. Martens brand and delivering our DOCS strategy.

From sourcing raw materials, manufacturing, and delivery of our brilliant products to our customers and their returns, you will work closely the Quality leadership team and key stakeholders to define quality issues through root cause analysis and data analytics to enable standardisation and enhancement of our Quality Standards across our Integrated Supply Chain.

As a member of our Quality and Compliance team, you will support ongoing development of the Quality strategy and take the lead in developing PROCESS, POLICIES and PROCEDURES and ensure compliance against these standards, working to develop, communicate, train, and embed, ensuring Quality Standards that are always fully compliant with internal and external requirements.

THE GIG

In addition to having relevant qualifications and significant experience in root cause analysis and process creation within a Quality Supply Chain environment, including 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, you will demonstrate great leadership skills and be able to quickly develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders inside and outside of the business to ensure engagement and compliance with agreed process, policy, and standards, driving quality improvement. You will have a passion for data and an analytical mind set, a drive for continuous improvement and a resilient personality because you will play a key role in making sure the high bar, we set ourselves in terms of operational excellence are met.

Key areas of responsibility will be:

Setting Standards

Develop and maintain all quality standards clear procedures, protocols, and policies in clear, concise and easily understood.

Ensure all procedures, protocols and policies are controlled and updated regularly on shared access point.

Data Gathering and Analysis

Analysis our current data pool and further develop KPIs for quality management, conducting statistical analysis and implementing trigger points for action.

Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues arising and develop and build preventative measures and process.

Ensure robust mechanisms are in place to monitor performance against Quality Standards on an ongoing basis.

Ensure risks relating to quality are identified, appropriately communicated with regular reporting and tracking.

Implementing change

Implement preventative measures to ensure quality issue are totally eradicated or minimised.

Develop and train quality process, policy, and procedures across the supply chain to ensure standard practice globally in factories and distribution centres.

Ensure adherence to Quality standards through effective monitoring via auditing, measuring, tracking and

Build clear CAPs where performance standards are not being met with improvement plans managed effectively and tracked.

Manage the claim process to ensure clear understanding of the financial impact of poor quality.

Manage the field auditing programme with external company and ensure aligned with needs of business.

Build and optimise relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to set and deliver priorities and agreed performance metrics.

To be our Quality Process Manager, you will have a strong understanding of process creation and delivery, and passion for continuous improvement and an analytical mindset as well as a professional and flexible approach to work including travel to and work from different locations as required. You will also have the following:

  • Degree holder in quality management or relevant subjects.
  • At least 12 years of experience in quality management on footwear, accessories, or apparel products.
  • 3 years of which being a Footwear Quality Manager, tackling quality challenges with suppliers in multiple locations in the Asia region.
  • Knowledgeable in footwear manufacture and materials technology
  • Able to analyse situations quickly, apply relevant tools to find solutions to problems and make good decisions.
  • Great leadership that influences results together with personal resilience to work in a challenging and complex environment.
  • A drive for achieving outstanding performance and operational excellence through brilliant teamwork.
  • An analytical mindset solving relevant problems with strong process and data driven.
  • A talent for communication and relationship management.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English. Spoken Chinese will be an advantage.
  • Eligibility to work in Vietnam a must.
