UIO Languages Vietnam is a Vietnamese company established in 2021. We are a subsidiary of UIO Linguistics in the U.S., specializing in providing OPI and VRI for medical and non-medical service providers in the States.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Remote Interpreter. The Remote Interpreter will be responsible for interpreting spoken languages between two or more parties.
The Remote Interpreter works from home or any preferred location but must ensure a stable, high-speed internet connection.
Working hours
- 7:00 P.M to 4:00 A.M or 8:00 P.M to 5:00 A.M (GMT+7), depending on daylight saving; 1 hour break time included.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret medical and non-medical communications for English-speaking service providers.
- Follow interpreter protocols to maintain professionalism and interpreter transparency.
- Follow applicable laws and regulations (including HIPAA) to maintain the privacy and security of all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Fluent in at least two languages with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in interpretation services is a plus
- Understanding of cultural norms and customs of both source and target languages
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field such as Medical, Legal
- Experience conducting interpretation in business, legal, or medical settings is a plus
- Experience with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting from VND 22 million (Gross); negotiable based on test results and experience
