Job Description
Control and manage the operational and business risk of the division, in particular the exposure with counterparties.
Onboarding and monitoring of counterparties (KYC) and of their performance.
Issue and enforce the procedures and policies within the organization.
Responsible for checking daily risk positions to make sure they are aligned with Sucafina Risk framework, and to make Trading Dpt aware of non-compliance position and escalate any breaches or situations to the Instant Risk Committee.
- On daily basis, check and monitor positions including but not limited to M2M exposure, inventory exposure, long overdue receivables, prepayments, etc.
- Identify contracts that are not compliant with limited granted to the counterparty, such as: forward window, fixation window, payment terms vs in trust or credit limits, and escalate to Instant Risk Committee.
- Due diligence (compliance) check for new accounts on systems (CRM/GSOL) for Instant entities.
- Annual review of existing accounts for all entities and make necessary updates on the systems (GSOL/CRM)
- Maintain constant reporting to Head office (Geneva) Risk & Compliance Department and implement Group policy and address ad-hoc requests.
- Manage performance and credit risk insurance.
- Daily follow up over-limit alerts, question traders, seek approval from Instant Risk Committees or escalate to Group Risk Committee.
- Maintain correct and up-to-date limit on systems (GSOL/CRM)
- Review and coordinate with departments upon incurred risk related topics that would be assigned to the candidate by Risk Manager
- Become expert in execution and innovative to design/adapt new tools to increase productivity (i.e. digitalization)
- Become a key member of Instant Risk Committee
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a Coffee Trader or soft commodity
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of trading agreementsare plus.
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
