KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor the global sales team, driving performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Set clear goals and KPIs for the sales team, focusing on international growth, and monitor progress regularly.
Identify and develop key talent within the team, offering guidance and growth opportunities.
Business Development & Global Sales Strategy:
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company's global footprint in the food ingredient market.
Identify new business opportunities across international markets, build relationships with key distributors and clients, and explore innovative sales channels.
Directly manage strategic global accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Global Account Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with high-value clients across various geographies, acting as a trusted advisor to their businesses.
Regularly engage with global accounts to understand their needs, propose solutions, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Coordinate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service levels and meet client expectations.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, marketing, finance) to ensure the sales strategy is aligned with overall business objectives.
Act as the liaison between the sales team and senior leadership, presenting sales forecasts, progress reports, and market insights to key stakeholders.
Manage relationships with global supply chain partners to ensure seamless product delivery.
Market Expansion & Competitor Analysis:
Conduct regular market analysis to understand global trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
Provide insights to senior management to inform decision-making and refine market entry strategies.
Expand the company's presence in existing markets while developing strategies for entering new markets.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of B2B international sales experience, specifically within the food ingredient or Food sector.
Demonstrated success in Global Business Development and Global Account Management.
Proven track record of managing large international accounts and driving significant sales growth across multiple markets.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in Chinese is strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance management.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, global environment with frequent travel.
Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and compliance in food ingredients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a deep understanding of global market dynamics in the food ingredient industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in both established and emerging markets.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and develop innovative sales approaches.
Proven success in a cross-cultural and multinational team environment.
