Responsibilities:
1. Manage key accounts effectively in assigned segment/area:
a. Maintains close contact with assigned customers
b. Understands customers needs and negotiate expectations
c. Ensures prompt supply from primary source or alternative in the Group (if necessary)
d. Provides prompt and effective service to customers
e. Ensures prompt payment by customer before due date
2. Understand the needs and requirements of customers to offer quotation of suitable solutions and
to close deals in consultation with his General Manager and/or Business Development Directors.
3. Lead and organize the information gathering on market development in assigned segment/area
a. Networks with other sales/account managers in the Group
b. Tracks development of customers
c. Understands state of competition
d. Surveys, benchmarks analysis, make sales strategy plan to follow and forecast market trends
4. Provide inputs and data to Business Development Directors in order to update sales and marketing strategies to grow the business in his assigned segment.
5. Actively engages in new business development and
a. Leads promotional activities like exhibitions, conferences, etc.
b. Develops new markets, source for new customers and penetrates into competitors' markets.
c. Promotes and markets new products to customers.
6. Maintain a working knowledge of manufacturing process, in order to
a. Be able to engage operations effectively
b. Work with internal departments to satisfy customers' needs and requirements promptly
c. Lead management of new projects
7. Keep good record of his sales territory, and uses the available SAP reports. He files timely call
reports on customer visits.
8. Carrie out other assignments as directed by direct Superior.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Food Technology or Packaging Engineering.
Experience:
1. At least 5 years in Marketing & Sales of industrial product and 3 years in a supervisory role
2. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and SAP
3. Previous sales experience in related industrial packaging is an advantage.
4. Knowledge in industrial packaging - preferably related to closure technology
Skills:
1. Proficient in oral and written English.
2. Proactive working style and effective with minimal supervision.
3. Pleasant personality with good communication skills.
4. Good team player.
