Job Description Summary
Handle ocean export shipments lane: ANZ, US, Europe.
Responsibilities
- To ensure daily operations are completed as per procedures for each shipment.
- Place booking request with carriers/co-loaders as per controlling parties instruction.
- Send booking confirmation to shippers for cargo stuffing.
- To communicate with local customers & related parties to ensure all shipments are expedited timely & properly in compliance with customer's requirements, handling instructions, provided SOP.
- To ensure all operations steps are done timely & properly as customer's request as issuing draft HBL/MBL, providing booking confirmation, etc.
- To ensure all shipments are updated in CW1 in compliance with Control System procedures.
- To ensure shipment details, weighing sheet, bookings are passed onto handling before shipment ex-factory date.
- Follow up with local customers for cargo as well as document status & keep related parties informed if any change.
- Send pre-alert to destination offices & Upload HBL, MBL and related documents into e-docs/CW1.
- Do billing in EDI and co-ordinate with finance department for collecting money from customers & pay money to carriers in timely manner for cargo release.
- Issue original HBL, SWB or telex release upon receiving payment from customers.
- Keep tracing the routing of each shipment on carriers website and update information to concerned parties if any change with initial schedule.
- Understand KPI target & ensure to comply.
- Filing AFR/AFS for shipment to Japan, China and filing AMS/ACI for shipment to US, Canada at least 24-48hrs before vessel arrives loading port.
Qualifications
- Graduated from university majoring in Import-export, Logistics, Economics
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position at companies specializing in Import-Export or Forwarding companies
- Good conversational English
- Priority to have experience with CW1 system (Cargo Wise)
- Serious, responsible, disciplined at work
