Job Description
- General
- Manage team members and give examples of common sense-based design engineering culture over process-driven design
- Minimize technical debts whenever possible
- Collaborate with PM and business stakeholders to understand their particular needs, then translate those into technical requirements and come up with the most effective and efficient solution for architecting the technology.
- Help Enterprise Architect/CTO maintain clean, well-documented Functional Requirement Document / Business Requirement Document
- Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
- Back-end work
- Use tools to create web, mobile (and future native) applications with clean, portable, well-documented code
- Design, implement, test and roll out the new features at Tastify
- Build applications and serve it back to the user in front-end code.
- Create servers and databases for functionality.
- Build unit tests & ensure high degree of coverage for critical features
- Design and develop APIs according to business goals
- Maintain clean, well-documented API documentations
- Management work
- Working with back-end engineers to review codes & perform pull requests
- Distributing work effectively to back-end engineers
- Ensuring high quality code
- Ensuring smooth bi-weekly releases to production server
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Fluent English
- Back end: Ruby on Rails, TDD, RSpec
- Database: MySQL
- Other supporting applications: Sidekiq, Engineyard, Rollbar, Heroku, Azure, Asana & Microsoft Teams + Offices
- Test-Driven Development, Agile, SCRUM
- Front end (bonus): REACT, JavaScript, CSS and Bootstrap
