Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Integration Engineer with proficiency in Java, integrations, and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of integration frameworks, a proven track record of successfully delivering complex integration projects, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Senior Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions that drive business efficiency and innovation.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Java, middleware platforms, and integration frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
Develop and maintain integration architecture, standards, and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the integration team.
Monitor and optimize the performance of integration solutions, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Document integration processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain comprehensive project records.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in integration engineering, with a strong emphasis on Java for developing backend services, and microservices/middleware platforms.
Proficiency in integration frameworks such as Apache Camel, MuleSoft or WSO
Experience with middleware platforms such as IBM WebSphere, Oracle Fusion Middleware, or similar.
Solid understanding of SOA, microservices architecture, ESB and RESTful APIs.
Strong knowledge of data formats (XML, JSON, CSV), data transformation techniques (XSLT, XPath), ETL tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide effective solutions.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with ERP system (i.e. Odoo, Oracle, SAP, etc) and its integration capabilities.
Experience with cloud-based integration platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Certification in relevant integration technologies or platforms.
Experience with message brokers and queues (e.g., JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g.,
