2. INTRODUCTION & RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible for virtualizing, testing, optimizing, and implementing cloud infrastructure across network, on-premise, and cloud environments.
- Manages tasks related to the performance and deployment of cloud infrastructure to ensure that solutions meet service requirements.
- Adheres to the Authoritys recommendations for hardening by performing operating system and database security enhancements.
- Integrates additional tasks into a cloud platform.
- Incorporates new workloads into existing Common Services, such as monitoring and backup.
- Expands workloads to include DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
- Provides support to various OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for integration and implementation.
- Experience with Terraform is a plus.
3. REQUIREMENTS
- A degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience and certifications will also be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a system engineer in an operational role.
- Experience in a cloud environment is a plus.
- Excellent multitasking and scheduling skills.
- Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Positive, hardworking attitude with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
- Strong organizational skills, including accurate record-keeping and monitoring.
- Dynamic, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
- Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with a solid understanding of cloud services, features, and capabilities.
- Good knowledge of products like Linux, Unix, and Active Directory/DNS is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking concepts.
