Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Category Management

- Research, analyze and evaluate the market to identify customer's needs and product/range opportunities.

- Visit relevant Trade & Lotte Sample Shows, if any

- Fully responsible for managing, developing and implementing category in charge as a Business Unit.

- Strategy and customize to satisfy Customer Needs

- Work with Marketing and Stores to develop and maintain the Pricing Strategy for the Category

- Keep up to date with Market Trends and deliver innovation and excitement to the range

- Maintain effective internal communications channel particularly with other Merchandiser Senior Managers, Category MD Teams, operations, sales & marketing, logistic and other functions within the organization.

- Ensure clear communication and understanding to Operations of any action taken that impacts on the Customer or Stores

2. Merchandising Management

- Definition of yearly targets in terms of sales, gross profits and later incomes for category in charge

- Achieve agreed targets and profits including Sales, Cash Margin, Statistical Margin, Later Income, Old Stock, Potential Old Stock, Stock

- Rotation, Stock Day's, Own Brand Share, Core Customer Share, Stock Correction & Availability

- Effectively manage the performance of products in terms of price, inventory, promotion, products assortment, quality of products, planning and allocation

- Co-operate with Supply Chain to identify the most effective/cost efficient means of delivering product to the store

- Ensure that the Pricing Strategy is fully in place and understood by Suppliers

4. Reporting

- Reporting to Merchandise Director all relating issues in the job and the team in charge

- Preparing weekly and monthly reports on duties in charge to the Merchandise Director and/ or General Director

- Doing other reports as requested by the General Director or Head Quarter in Korea

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in department store, retail industry management or any related positions
  • At least 2 years working in the management level
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese and international merchandising.
  • Understanding the operation of the retail industry, especially the non-food industry.
  • Strong analytical ability and good in data/ figures.
  • Job management, effective time management.
  • Allocation, implementation planning, objectives supervising.
  • Strategy mindset, analysis, problem solving, decision making.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Ready to work overtime (if any) and business travel.
  • Good at English in both written and oral.
